Biomechanical Assessment & Custom Orthotics in Lockerbie
A full hour looking at how you stand, walk and load your feet — and a written plan at the end of it.
When a biomechanical assessment helps
- Heel pain, particularly the first steps out of bed in the morning
- Aching arches, or pain across the ball of the foot
- Callus that keeps building in the same place — a map of where the load is going
- Knee, hip or lower back ache that seems to track back to how you walk
- Recurring niggles that come back every time you increase your running or walking
- Feet that roll noticeably in or out, in you or in your children
What the hour covers
Custom orthotic insoles
Where they are genuinely indicated, custom insoles are prescribed following the assessment and cost from £150, in addition to the assessment fee. They are not prescribed as a matter of course — plenty of assessments conclude with better footwear and a few exercises, and that is a perfectly good outcome.
Appointment length is shown in brackets. Private health insurance accepted — please enquire. 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or change an appointment; 50% of the fee applies to late cancellations and missed appointments. Prices are reviewed each January. See the full price list.
